Dr. Roud is trained in administration of nitrous oxide analgesia and has been employing the technique since 2000. Sometimes, nitrous oxide is called "laughing gas" or "sweet air."Nitrous oxide analgesia is reliable, safe and economical. It is safe to use on expecting mothers. As a patient, you do not have to arrange for an escort or a driver after your appointment, as the effects of nitrous oxide inhalation wear off very quickly after the treatment is completed. 

There are certain medial limitations to the use of nitrous oxide. Some dental procedures and situations are not conducive to having an over-the-nose mask. Please make sure you discuss your needs and concerns with the doctor.
